This is a vintage Lakewood scattershield bellhousing for Small Block, Big Block, and "W" Chevy engines. This scattershield bellhousing was used to protect the driver from clutch explosions, etc. A scattershield was required from many sanctioned events for safety.

This would be a great period correct addition to your muscle car, hot rod, or custom. This scattershield is in good original condition as shown. It looks to still wear its original paint and has never had an explosion.

There is some scuffs and paint scratches as shown and it looks great overall. All threads are good and I see no breaks or repairs. The block saver plate is in good shape and has had the starter hole opened up which will no effect function. The mounting hardware to mount the block saver plate to the scattershield are included as shown less a few nuts.

The correct fork is also included in good condition as shown. This bellhousing also has the mounting holes for 55-57 Chevy and Corvette applications.
