Vintage Hurst Lightning Rod Automatic Shifter Rare Staging 4th Rod Complete

For sale is a rare hurst lightning rod shifter with the desirable 4th rod, commonly known as the staging rod. This shifter also has the positive reverse lockout making it acceptable for racing applications. The 4th rod allows the driver to shift into neutral without pulling the other rods. This lets you either rev the motor or shift into reverse and then quickly back into gear.

This shifter is in excellent condition. All rods positively engage and are smooth in their movement. The cover has been expertly cut around the 4th rod.

The aluminum back panel does have additional holes drilled but does not effect the function. The original cable is included with the boot and 2 transmission mounts which I believe are for a turbo 400 and potentially a turbo 350. Cosmetically, the chrome is excellent condition with no rust or pitting. The staging rods ball does have some nicks around the button. Please see pictures and ask questions if you have any.
