These 5140 forged steel claimer I-beam connecting rods are perfect for your budget small block Chevy build, Added features include heat treating, shot peened and magnafluxed for maximum durability, Press fit style wrist pin bore allows for use of economical press pin pistons, 5.7" center-to-center length is stock length for 350 cubic inch and smaller engines, 2.100" large journal size fits 1968 and newer small block Chevy applications. Scat 3-ICR5700P SBC 5140 Steel I-Beam Rods, 5.7 Inch, Press Pin. SCAT 3-ICR5700P Stock Replacement Forged I-Beams. Single rib cap design for added strength and bearing support.

Lightweight I-Beam design for increased strength and quicker RPMs. Comes standard with 3/8 ARP Wave-loc Bolts. As provided, connecting rod will have approximately 0.003 press fit for the piston pin. Technical recommendation is to hone the connecting rod end to approximately 0.0012" - 0.0015" pres fit, or to your specific press fit requirements for proper installation specifications. Torque rod bolts to 40-45 ft/lbs with oil using 2-step process.
