Super duper neat vintage Edelbrock C3BX small block Chevy 55-86 intake. You can drill out the center holes to fit the center bolt valve cover heads but this one is NOT modified to fit those currently. If you know these older bare aluminum specimens, if you look at them cross-eyed, they get powder spots. I squirted some protectant on it so you can store it for however long you need.
Just remember to rinse it off if you decide to paint it or clearcoat it. The factory ports are big and impressively square from the factory! If I don't sell it, I will keep it for this reason.
There is ONE area of concern to point out.... The front pipe plug has epoxy around it instead of regular sealer. It doesn't "look" to be cracked but you may want to address the area before installation. It was pulled from a running engine, with a chrome thermo housing, but sat in my shop for a few years.Chrome housings sucketh an almost always leak. So I pull them off.
Last two show the epoxy area, inside and out. Otherwise, I have chased ALL the threads with a proper tap. The carb area holes have already been heli-coiled but they installed fine thread coils, down low.
I have provided some studs/nuts that fit but you will need to cut the tips off 2 of them for proper usage. I have professionally Scotch-Brited the machine surfaces AND shown you that they are flat with a straight edge. Aside the epoxy area, it is ready to bolt on and add your favorite carb! ZOOM in on the hi-Q pics!
